Should I Cut My Hair?
It’s really long. Fully covers my boobies. It’s time for a trim that’s for sure. But is it time to chop it all off and donate yet? I was only planning to keep my hair until graduation, then I decided to keep it for one more long-haired summer. But now I’m not so sure.
^Latest picture of my hairs…usually not all straight like this. Pardon the hat.
What should I do to my head?
Mad Women: A Season 5-inspired Stylebook (with Modcloth dresses!)
Betty

Rumor has it Betty’s not in this season all that much, which makes me sad. I don’t care what people say, Betty’s one of my favorite characters. Will she still be with Henry? Will Sally still hate her? Will she still have the best wardrobe on the show?
I chose this classic dress for her because it’s not quite up to the mid-60s era we’re getting into, but neither is Betty. She’s holding onto her past and that classic Grace Kelly look that suits her.
Joan

I like Joan more and more as the series progresses. At first, I was put off by her, but now I’m beginning to take more of an interest in her story. Did she have that baby? What’s up with her and Roger now? Will her husband return from Vietnam? Will her boobs actually pop out of one of her skin-tight dresses?
I chose this form-fitting sheath because it’s classic Joan. I’m sure even after a baby (if she has that baby) she’ll still be working her curves around the office.
Peggy

I go back and forth between loving and being annoyed by Peggy. Sometimes her hokey, after-school special vibe makes me want to punch her in the face, but then she comes into Don’s office and puts him in his place and I want squeal with joy. Will she delve deeper into 1960’s counterculture? Will she finally be recognized for her outstanding work? Will she ever stop subconsciously teaching us lessons?
I chose this very mod dress for her because she’s one of the most youthful gals on the show, and so the most fashion-forward main character (as strange as it may seem to call Peggy “Fashion-forward”).
Sally

Sally’s got all the right ingredients for teenage-angst, and she’s only 12! After loosing the lisp, I’ve grown quite fond of her and I’m excited to see what kind of trouble she’ll get into this season. I kind of wish she was a little older so we could see her get right into the late 60’s teenage rebellion thing, but maybe Glen will help with that. Will she run away from home? What will Betty traumatize her with next? Will Glen still be in the picture? Will she become the first victim of Glen’s sociopathic killing spree?
I chose this youthful dress because it’s got just enough of the modern 60s flare, but remember that Betty still dresses her.
